Todd goes on a bicycle ride where his route is decided on the fly – by Sage who sits at home not knowing where he is. Where does this kind of randomness take him? Read and find out. Continue reading Robot Ride
In today’s bonus adventure, Todd finds a way to deliberately get himself lost miles from home. As he bikes home he wanders in to the beginning of a 1970’s horror film… Continue reading Bonus Adventure: Just Get Lost!
In about 2010 we were all living closer to the centre of the city. The easiest way for me to get places was to take my bicycle. Unfortunately, though, that meant leaving my 9 year old son at home as … Continue reading Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Things People Drive (ride, pilot or captain)
One of the most fun aspects of a long cycling trip starts weeks or even months before departure: Route Planning. Maps are one of my favourite things. They are, in and of themselves, a “choose your own adventure” story. Choose … Continue reading India Cycling Trip: Route Planning Begins – With Your Help
Yes, I know: Tuesday’s a long way off seeing as it’s already the weekend. But there’s still time to get my entry in for this week’s Dutch Goes the Photo challenge on the subject of Lift. Not long after I … Continue reading Tuesday Photo Challenge – Lift
Before I end my vacation I want to do a longer ride – somewhere in the 80 kilometre (50 mile) range. I can get paralyzed by choice sometimes and spend hours in front of maps and ride logs looking for … Continue reading Riding Around Our City Day 3: Circumnavigation

They’re especially great for long distance travel over the course of days – you meet so many interesting people, see things you wouldn’t expect, and … Continue reading Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge – June 22, 2018: The Better Way
Today I leave the bus behind and take my bike on a nearly car-free route along Lake Ontario and ending at one of Toronto’s newest libraries in the shadow of a fort over two centuries old. Continue reading Fort York Neighbourhood: Fort York Library
It’s almost that time again. Time for Daegan and I to get on our bikes and ride. This time we’ll be going to one of our favourite cities: Montreal. In 2012 we rode there by way of Ottawa. This time we’ll ride about 600 kilometres (Almost 375 miles) along Lake Ontario and then follow the St. Lawrence River for the rest of the way. We’ve got about six days of riding and then whatever else we decide to squeeze in before our train takes us back home on Canada Day, July 2nd. Watch for photos and entries from us along … Continue reading Heading Out in One Week – Look Out, Montreal!
