Vacation Cycling Adventure #1: Camping

In today's entry, Todd and Daegan head out on an adventure - a cycling/camping trip that does not go quite to plan.

In today's entry, Todd and Daegan head out on an adventure - a cycling/camping trip that does not go quite to plan.

Last summer a move disrupted my routine and since then I've been riding as a passenger in my life rather than driving it. Over the upcoming weeks I'll be adjusting routines and monitoring metrics to get back to where I want to be.

After almost a month, Todd writes a post about what's happening, where he's been and why he's been so lax in posting. It's all good and all about disrupting internal and external algorithms!

Battling cold, wind, and hesitation, I hit the road for another tile-bagging ride. Headwinds tested me early, but I made deposits into the headwind bank, knowing I'd cash them in later. With determination (and a tailwind), I racked up new tiles, personal records, and a fast finish!

I'm my worst enemy in getting myself out the door. I love to ride and explore but getting from the couch to clipped into the pedals is the hardest part of most rides. Today I used a couple tools to overcome that resistance.

In today's entry I go for a bike ride for me with no rules. Then there are three good news stories to remind you that good things are still happening in the world.

Here's a quick update on what's going on for me today and of course stories of good things happening in the world.

Today's 200km ride was so difficult it ended early, but not for the reasons you might think. And surprisingly, ending when it did was an extremely good thing.

Todd has a really lovely weekend mix of alone time, family time and time with friends. And of course there are several good news stories here to remind you there's still good in the world.

In this entry (twice in one day!) Todd shares a video and book recommendation about one of his cycling inspirations, Jenny Graham.
