My 142 km ride yesterday was as good as my 100 km ride last week was bad It's amazing the difference eating and drinking properly can make.

A last minute route change results in an unexpected wildlife encounter. But the ending is not 100% happy.

Today I reluctantly get out the door for an early morning ride. I'm rewarded with a much improved headache and some more beautiful imagery.

The first day of following through on a commitment to ride routes daily that I chose ahead of time.

As always, striking the balance between life and writing presents challenges. When I’m not meant to be cooking dinner I generally get on my bike for an hour or more – which will go up as the rides go outside.…

Today I think about "weaponized nostalgia" and its cure, searching for the clues within your nostalgia to find the joy around you.

Weird weather and weird online experiences this week. I'm not sure I'm 100% on board with all this! *laughing*

I'm an expert at dithering and finding excuses to avoid doing something I know will make me feel good. Yesterday not only did I push through it - I made video proof for my future self to capture just how wrong I was about what a chilly autumn ride would be.

Today I talk about (and show in video) what it's like to focus on a priority that is not cycling as quickly as possible, and instead enjoying the destination *and* the ride.
