Two mornings ago I woke to a puncture. Yesterday I worked from home but patched the puncture. This morning when I woke up the patch had not held and the tire was flat again. At first I thought I’d just ride the bus but then, I wasn’t having it. It might’ve been 5:30 in the morning but I was fixing my tire with a new tube again.
And you know what? It was totally worth it. My mood on arrival was, as usual, fantastic. Cycling is medicine. 100%.
It’s going to be a good day. Here are the #3GoodThings for today:
- Not long after I fixed the tire, I turned on the radio. It was time for my son’s radio debut on CBC’s Metro Morning. He was talking about the exhibition he’s a part of this weekend, In Spite.
- I may be home alone tonight with Daegan working and Sage performing but I’ll be eating well. There’s homemade kala chana chole in the fridge from last night.
- I made myself a deal. I get an extra cup of coffee (or double espresso) when I bike to work as an incentive to get out the door on my bike and not on a bus. (I like the ride yet I have trouble getting out the door on a bike. Go figure)
How’s your day ahead looking? How’s it been going so far? What’re your three good things.
it wont let me ‘like’!
three good things so far today:
the sun’s shining & it’s like summer (unusual in the UK in April)
accomplished all my errands around town
my cat ran to greet me when i got home
[…] I also have been trying on a routine of cycling to work unless there’s a downpour (or a puncture!) So far it works well but needs further […]
